The Miniota council met January 4 in the Municipal Hall. Officials appointed include A G Stowe as Councillor for 1963–64, D Stewart as Deputy Reeve, and various ward and service committees with chairmanships. Grants to Salvation Army, Children’s Aid, and other groups approved. memberships to several associations authorized.

Diane Williams named Manitoba delegate to British Columbia for a 4-H provincial exchange sponsored by the Royal Bank to mark 50th anniversary. Five Odfellows from Parkisimo 1.0.0 F. won a bonspiel January 12 at McAuley. Private Wilfred Reeves returned to Montreal after leave with his parents Two Creeks.
