The 25th wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs P S MacPherson drew a surprise party with musical whistles and a silver salad bowl gift. Red Cross donations from Mirioia included sleeveless sweaters socks rifle mitts triangular bandages and towels. Ladies of Gienlochar sent grey and blue socks and hall mitts. A whist drive and dance in Miniota yielded high scores to Miss Drozdowsk i and Wm Grant, a box of chocolates to Mrs F L Spencer, Bowles orchestra music, a dandy lunch, and about $25 profit.
