Dan Lueyk seeks medical treatment in Brandon for a sore font. Jed Lelond attends Winnipeg WCB medical check up week. The Minnesota Herald subscription rate rises to 250 on January 15, 1981. A rink contest pits Red versus Blue with Blues trailing 1 to 7 after Monday night.
Mrs Lt E Forster received a Red Cross knitting and sewing shipment. Beattie returned from Winnipeg where he visited his wife who is convalescing after a recent operation.
A son Mark James Chisholm was born December 27 at Minnedosa hospital to Mr and Mrs Ron Chisholm Rufford. A son James Lawrence Hunkin was born December 25 at Hamiota hospital to Mr and Mrs Hunkin Crandall.
Friends and neighbors gathered Wednesday afternoon at Holy Trinity church to bid farewell to Mrs Edith Amy Bryant. Reverend B O Whitfield of St George's church conducted the funeral for Mrs Silas Bryant, who died January 1.
Edith Amy Ortt Bryant died peacefully at her daughter Winnie Morgan's home in Beulah district after a life as a pioneer in the area. Born July 26 1877 in London, she came to Miniota in 1905 with Silas Bryant. Surviving husband five sons a daughter and multiple siblings and eleven grandchildren. The funeral honored her long community service with burial in Miniota cemetery.
In loving memory of Clara Isobel Dickey who passed away January 10 1943. She would want those who loved her to remember her.
In loving memory of a dear son and brother P O Robert Campbell Carnegie killed in action over Flensburg Harbor January 12 13 1945.
The family expresses gratitude to friends for inquiries, sympathy messages and floral tributes after the death of Mrs S C Bryant. Special thanks are given to Nurse L Richardson and Mrs Geo Hooper for their services, greatly appreciated.
