United Church to personalize Outreach givings in 1970
The United Church of Canada in MINIOTA introduces a project book system enabling congregations to select Outreach projects for 1970 funding. Funds will be directed first to chosen projects with guaranteed up to a portion of donations supporting those picks. Unfunded projects may receive redirected support to ensure broad church involvement.

Parish panel approves bonus for staff member in need
The Finance Committee and the Executive of the Birtle-Miniota Wider parish met on December 17 to review Rev. Bob Kayes finances and respond to a letter from the Binscorth-Foxwarren pastoral charge. They decided to grant Kayes a year end bonus to help stabilize his finances and keep him on parish staff. Additional parish funds from the national church were contributing to this support.
