The Miniota C G L T presented a Christmas dialogue in United Church with Joan Taylor as First Reader Marilyn Wiens as Second Reader and Donna Horner as Candle Lighter. A Manger scene shepherds and wise men formed the visual. Twenty four girls led by Mrs. Ivan Armitage and Mrs. Jack Nield took part. They shared carols and Immanuel in choral form and distributed leaflets to fund the Canadian Council of Churches. On December 23 the group sang carols at homes of shut ins and the aged.

Golden Age Group Held Meeting in Miniota
The Miniota Ladies Bridge Club hosted the Golden Age Group Christmas Party at the Community Centre on December 18 with forty five members attending. Birthday gifts were given to John Craig Gunson and Lou Leland by mystery friends. High school students led by Mrs. W Barrett and Mrs. S Taylor performed Christmas carols. A Christmas contest guided by Mrs. Heise and Mr. Cook featured matching paper hats to pair attendees for lunch. Officers Conk Stowe and Hill were reelected. Plans for 1969 birthday mystery friends were made and the next gathering is set for January 22 in Miniota.
