Changes In Crop Insurance Announced In Manitoba
Manitoba farmers with all risk insurance will no longer need to insure wheat to qualify for coverage. Instead two of 13 insurable crops must be insured. minimums vary by crop mix. The 13 crops include wheat, oats, barley, flax, field peas, potatoes, sugar beets and others. Hail insurance remains available. details and rates to be announced before next season.
