A Tuesday night Liberal gathering at Hawthorne's Hall Miniota featured candidate Robt Forke of Pipestone. D Gerrand presided with speakers Forke and M Jackson addressing electors on government ownership of telephone systems and criticisms of current land, education, and justice policies.
The Miniota council met with Reeve presiding. Appointments outlined include Sec Treas Wm Howard for 199, Health officer Dr Frazer, and Trouble Shooter Berwick at 125 dollars monthly. The Miniota hockey team has sent a challenge to Beulah for a five aside match on Tuesday January 12. An oyster supper will follow the game and a curling team will also participate that evening. Town sports supporters are urged to attend.
