Birdtail River School Board approves multi‑city building plan
The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 met February 14 1968 at Shoal Lake with trustees Farnsworth plus several named to approve a varied building program prioritizing Birtle Hamiota and Strathclair secondary schools and St Lazare Elementary. The board adopted minutes, authorized a cheque writer purchase, advertising for the Harding teacherage sale, formed a central salary negotiation committee, approved attendance at Trustee Seminar and Education Conference, and agreed to pay parent transport subsidies for certain students. The meeting adjourned to February 28.

Principals Conference Draws 300 Leaders in Winnipeg
Allan Robertson and Harvey Kingdon will join about 300 principals and vice principals for a three day Manitoba conference in Winnipeg February 22 to 24. The event, in the University of Manitoba Faculty of Education, features speakers from Canada and the United States addressing educational planning and principal leadership.
