A smorgasbord supper will be served at the Miniota arena from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday February 20 at the Miniota Community Centre. The Picture Show BEN HUR will be shown Thursday February 18 at 8 p.m. No show Friday or Saturday.

Wes Lelond thanks friends for visits cards and flowers while in the hospital. He expresses sincere gratitude to doctors nurses and staff for their kindness and to those who sent cards gifts and visited him during his stay at Brandon General Hospital.

Wm Strachan and Tom Rollo discussed policing regulations while J J Morton and Ivan Armitage pursued a Veterinary Area with the Chamber of Commerce support. Construction Equipment reps talked HD 16 Tract replacement and Mines and Resources officials addressed a crossing on the Assiniboine River. A Village Constable amendment to the December 11 1970 resolution was proposed and cost estimates were requested from departments.
A heartfelt note from Polly and David Williams and Alf and Diane Bailey expresses gratitude to friends neighbors and community for support during illness and after Cecil Williams death. The Hamiota Hospital District council introduced by-law 1611 to authorize hospital upgrades including operating room improvements, new kitchen and dining spaces, storage, paediatric and administration areas. A resident ratepayer vote is scheduled for March 1, 1971, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ward 1 Isabella, Ward 4 Miniota, and Ward 6 Miniota polling places.
