A Father and Son banquet was held at Arrow River. The first radiophone in Minicta was installed in the Wm Jarvis residence. The village council proposed planting trees along streets and on the park site. Mrs Reynolds spent the week bends in Hamiota.
February events include C N RR excursion to Winnipeg with dog races hockey games and Carnival starting at 2 pm. CPR excursion to Brandon and Winnipeg on the 22nd. On the 25th a whist drive and dance at Minnesota school with an open air rink. Ice Carnival at Beulah runs from 6 am to 5 pm.
Local events report dog races and carnival in Miniota on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. United church services in Miniota and Isabella were cancelled due to heavy snow. W. J. Hodnett attends a Merchant's Convention in Winnipeg with A Spencer. Despite bad weather a Cafeteria Tea at Mrs T.L. Jasper's home raises about $12. Winnipeg bonspiel results show Miniota and Crandall rinks playing well. A Toronto church official plans to contest authorship of a four-bar melody originally from Sebastopol. New dresses arrive at United States Ltd Miniota. A whist drive and dance under Miniota New Rink Fund yields profit, with prizes won by Mrs. Walker, T.L. Jasper, C. Finkeinder, M. Schmaus, D. Forsyth. Dance by Miniota Orchestra. MC J. Desmond. Miniota W.I. Valentine project supports Winnipeg Children’s Hospital. Shortbread contest judged by Mrs. Cunningham. E H Reed shares Valentine origins. Mrs. Wallace Bonner hosts.
