In Memoriam Mary Collier caller notes her passing on February 5 1948 and family memories. A Variety Concert and Sale of Home Baking is planned February 18 at Arrow River Community Hall under United Church W.A with admissions 50c and 25c. The Min iota Village Ratepayers annual meeting discussed gas expansion, committee appointments, and a volunteer fire brigade. A cemetery grant was approved, and a road project to the nuisance ground was proposed.

Kinney Hatcheries in Virden says the first Baby Chicks and Turkeys Poults will arrive March 12 and will be produced twice weekly thereafter. Early order premium requires placing orders by March 1.

Beulah Community News Roundup From January Through March

Beulah and nearby Beulah Miniota youth teams played close hockey games with Beulah earning the lower score in a Tuesday match. The Beulah Red Cross annual meeting reported 415 dollars sent to headquarters in 1957, plus January knitting and sewing output including twenty boys sweaters and twenty-four baby booties. Elections named Steuart as president and Wiltshire as vice president with several officers and an March drive planned. W. H. Pierce won a stag handle carving set and Brenda Currie of Miniota won a Panda doll at the rink draw to support rink waiting room floor. The senior hockey team played at Birtle last Monday with Girtle taking the win. The Amateurs concert at McConnell featured Beulah Flying Needles 4-H Sewing Club placing fourth with a square dance performance. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Mann visited Neepawa last weekend.

Caretaker Job Open at Arrow River School

The Board of the Municipal School District of Miniota seeks applications for the position of caretaker at Arrow River School. Duties start March 1 1958 with a salary of 100 dollars per month. Applications must reach the secretary treasurer by February 25.
