The Annual Meeting of the Ratepayers of the Miniota Unincorporated Village will be held in the Municipal Hall on Tuesday February 5th at 8 o clock p.m. Business includes annual reports election of a councillor and other business as may arise. John Spalding Secretary.
Mrs J D Forsyth spent the weekend in Brandon. Miss L R-Chalmers is visiting friends in Winnipeg. Mrs W J Hodnett was a visitor to Winnipeg last week and attended a performance at The Valiant.
S Christianson attended a Winnipeg convention of buttermakers last week with Mrs Christianson. United Church W M S held January meeting at Mrs Haddon s home with eleven attendees. Remarks urged renewed zeal for the year s duties. A Study Book chapter on India was summarized by Mrs Rollins. Topics included quilting donations clothing temperance and child education. The Blue Book ninth annual report of the W M S circulated for members. Next meeting at Mrs Berwick s home.
The rural council met in Minnesota on Saturday and passed resolutions authorizing Ward 3 to have a well day at Crandall Livery Stable with a $60 cap, approving R. E. Pearce for relief under the Soldiers Taxation Relief Act, accepting 1933 34 tax sale arrears with interest, paying C.W. Boyce 11.60 and transferring 1.75, and urging seed grain loan and municipal seed purchases while requesting arrears payments from telephone subscribers.
