The Miniesta United Church Young Peoples Society entertained the Beulah Society at a skating party in Miniota on Wednesday night. Over 100 of the work societies attended and a splendid time was had. A social and lunch followed in the church basement.

The annual meeting of the Unincorporated Village of Miniota is set for Wednesday February 4 at 3 p.m. in the Municipal Hall. Agenda includes receiving reports and the election of a Councillor. John Spalding serves as secretary treasurer.
A large crowd attended the U P S gathering at Mrs T Borland's home Friday night. Members voted to donate 25 to the Church Board and 1 to the Rink committee. The next meeting will be Thursday night in the church basement with Chumah P.S. as guests.

A packed rink hosted a Saturday tournament with teams from Virden Beulah Isabella Strathclair Ressburn Arrow River and Crandall. Play ran from 1 a.m. to 10 p.m. The final featured Virden versus Ressburn, top south and north teams.

Beulah team traveled to Miniota on Saturday and were defeated by 17 points. A Birtle rink visited on Thursday afternoon and the visitors won the game.
On Thursday last a rink from Birtle came for a game and the visitors won out. The match was greatly enjoyed by spectators and participants alike.

Peter Watson Thompson a well known Oak River district figure died in Hamiota hospital after a brief illness. He served as honorary president of the Mini ota Hamieota and Blansbard Trustees Association and held executive roles in the Manitoba Trustees Association. He was noted for his musical interest. the funeral occurred Thursday at Oak River.
Sioux Benn a familiar figure across villages and countryside, died Friday at Birdtail Reserve. He was a longstanding and loyal Indigenous figure who contributed greatly in early days when rebellions were common. Funeral held Saturday. Exact age uncertain, believed very old per Indian department records.

David James Hill a district pioneer died Sunday after a two month illness paralysis listed as cause He was born in Lockwood Ontario and moved west in 1882 to the Blairs district The funeral was at United Church Haraiota then Arrow River Cemetery He is survived by his widow four daughters Mrs Reid Mrs Brown Mrs Bell Mrs Clendenning and four sons Herman Archie Fred Walter He was active on the rural council and respected by the community
On Thursday night the St Wilfrids congregation met at Mr and Mrs W Titleys to greet Rev and Mrs Macon. The evening featured songs recitations and games. G J Heshoe read an address and the group presented the rector with many gifts including pantry necessities. Mr Mason thanked the congregation for their kindness and well wishes.
