Pick Scott, who spent the summer in Ontario, returns to visit relatives and friends in the district. F O Arthur Angus has come back from Toronto after course work in RAF administration. He plans to visit the G Bruce home, while Mrs Angus and daughter may join from Medicine Hat for Christmas.
The rural council met with the Reeve presiding and approved two Old Age pension applications. It authorized $100 for Assessor C. R. Lee and a $150 grant to Reeve J. R. Lynch for 1947 services. It urged Manitoba Power Commission to extend electrification to multiple townships for 1949 and approved a bridge plan on the Assiniboine river with 50 percent municipal cost. It overdraws Ward 4 by $150 and disclaims Ray Sterling damages. By laws 1048 to 1050 passed. Memorial plaque order placed. Notice to CN Rail about an unsafe bridge north of Miniota. Congratulations expressed for retirement of J J Taylor and J Spalding. Adjournment set for January 6 1948.
