The Herald announces an Xmas issue dated December 22 to reach subscribers by Christmas. Submissions for ads or news close by noon December 20. notices include staff moves, deaths and inquests, travel news, curling notes, sales, and board driving rate applications due December 27 1947.
The Municipal School Board of Minnesota met December 4 with Dr. Chalmers presiding. Resolutions include paying A B Cunningham $2041 annually, awarding W M Ingram a $200 bonus for 1947 8, offering a $1400 teacher salary at Arrow River, and transportation adjustments Route 5 Isabella to $370 daily for 22 days October 30 to November 28, plus Palmerson to Crandall reduced to $5.30 from December 1.
