Mrs Rev Lekwnd Heth McRae a former teacher from Winona and Miniota renewed acquaintances in town last week. The WI will meet in the Community Centre on Friday December 11 for their meeting and Christmas party. The GALT meet discussed the Lady of Women of the Bible with three discussion groups led by Mrs C B Watts Elaine Curry and others. Plans were made for a Vesper Service on December 13 and for Caroling on December 17.

Mr Alex Guild District Director spoke to a small Manitoba Dairy and Poultry Cooperative group at the Community Centre Tuesday evening about a government margarine policy brief, equity repayment to cured members, and the Smellie Bros Creameries purchase. Two films on Farm Integration and Dairy Product Promotion were shown.

Holy Trinity W.A. Elects Officers At Thursday Meeting
The Holy Trinity W.A. met at Mrs Ted Leland's home and elected officers including President Mrs. M. Curry and Vice President Mrs. W. J. Mossoy. Plans were made for narcels to shut-ins and sewing for the Indian School at Dauphin. The United Church Baby Band held a Christmas party December 3 led by Mrs. K Armitage and Mins S.2 Wi Dales with 34 children, 27 mothers, and nine grandmothers present. Frank Turner was at Birtle hospital and will undergo an operation in Winnipeg with C. W. Ellerington and Ian Armitage accompanying him.

Merry Stitchers Meet and Community Notes
Miniata Merry Stitchers welcomed Mrs. Craig as leader of Project 2. They plan to collect toys and clothes for Children’s Aid and Sunday School papers and toys for Shriners Hospital in Winnipeg. Meetings will be held on Tuesdays, next on December 8 at the Chas Armitage home. Several local residents visited or stayed with relatives, a hospital visit occurred in Winnipeg, and a Grey Cup football pool sponsored by the Legion awarded prizes.
