The Miniota School Christmas Concert will be held in the Miniota Hall on Tuesday, December 23 at 8 pm. Adults and children may attend free.
Mr and Mrs A J Leland hosted Holy Trinity Church Young People on Friday night for a lively dance with a nice lunch served. An advertising notice reminder followed about paid publicity. Australia plans to ship twenty million pounds of butter into Canada by next April at seven and a half pence per pound, potentially nudging the butter market.
Alex Macintosh will lecture in Holy Trinity Church basement on Wednesday at 6 pm about The Magic Adventure of the Caribbean Sea. The event includes motion and still pictures, a social time with vocal solos and pantomime, lunch, and a collection to defray expenses. All are invited.
Manitoba Bruce County Association members met at the Manitoba Free Press Building and planned an Annual Dinner for former residents on February 5 at the Fort Garry Hotel. Bruce County folk in Winnipeg or visiting are urged to write J H Curie at Dominion Business College to reserve. Tickets are one dollar and include entertainment, singing, speakers, piping, orchestra, and dancing.
Tenders for school van driving were published and will be awarded on the 20th of this month. A motion to add an extra allowance for the driver was lost, but two trustees supported the deduction.
