Unlicensed crews, including a Saskatchewan trio, have operated in Virden and Oakville, overcharging a Manitoba resident for exterior painting. Infectious Hepatitis Cases Continue High in Manitoba
Manitoba health data show infectious hepatitis and streptococcal throat infections remain well above 1976 levels. July reported 65 hepatitis cases, 15 in Norman region. total 1977 hepatitis 549. Strep throat doubled 1976 levels with 1,985 cases year to date, Interlake under investigation for clusters. Measles and rubella declined, gonorrhea remains most common notifiable disease with 2,729 cases year to date. Nine rabid animals all skunks reported in July across multiple rural municipalities.
