Lost Prospector Rescued After 48 Days Missing

Andrew Taylor, a northern The Pas prospector, wandered 300 miles in a huge circle for 48 days through dense woods north of The Pas. He was found near Burntwood Lake by Fred Coleman and Capt Kenyon, flown by Fokker to The Pas, severely exhausted and emaciated but alive.

Ruling Indian Princes Seek Federation Move

Conferences are under way between representatives of the ruling Indian princes and the secretary of state for India. About half of India remains under direct British rule, while independent states span the rest. Princes seek a federation with a central authority as a first step toward a larger union including British India. Spokesmen include the Maharajah of Kashmir, the Maharajah of Patiala, H. H. Louis Tracy Dies at Home Near Ashford Kent

The novelist and detective story writer Louis Tracy died recently at his home near Ashford Kent. Born in 1863 he received private education in Yorkshire and France and varied a journalistic career with travels. He served on the headquar ters staff of the British war mission in the United States in 1917 and in 1921 helped raise funds for Westminster Abbey restoration. A bank failure may not upset the depositor but it will make him lose his balance.

C C McCaul K C a prominent Western Canadian lawyer for 45 years died at his Edmonton home after a lingering illness. He practiced in Fort Macleod from 1883 to 1888, then formed a partnership in Lethbridge with F W Haultain, later Northwest Territories chief justice. He was known across the prairie provinces and the Yukon for his role in major Dominion cases.
