Finkbeiner relatives hosted Jan Finkbeiner David Reid and Bob Houle from Winnipeg. Huen Ariss of Winnipeg vacationing at Charlie Ariss home. Bob Buchanan family of Winnipeg visited en route from the west coast. Church services resume Sunday August 18 after summer holidays.
Board of Trustees of Birdtail River School Division No. 38 met at Shoal Lake on August 8 1968 approving route payments for many drivers ranging from 4.75 to 13.00 per day and listing new/renamed routes. They also authorized renting an additional classroom at Hamiota Secondary School for 1968 69 and directed the superintendent to report on temporary classroom units with partial payment for work done. The meeting adjourned to 8:00 p.m. August 15 1968.
