Local playground receives new swings and circular slide
The playground committee ordered a swings set and a circular slide with plans to install them soon. Local residents Grace Jasper of Vancouver and Violet Flannery of Pipestone visited district friends, along with several other travelers and visitors from across Manitoba and Alberta. A number of births and visits were noted, including Chad Everett Rollo born July 7 in Birtle Hospital and Kyle Edwin John Spalding born July 22 in Cochrane. Get well wishes were sent to Bill Cousins after a scaffold fall. There will be no United Church service in Minsota on Sundays August 6 and 13, with worship resuming and time changed to 11:00 a.m. on August 20.
