Asper Learns From By Elections Says Public Support Less Than Wins
Izzy Asper told a women’s group in Manitoba he has learned a lot from recent by elections. He noted that public support matters little if the opponent still captures the seat. Manitoba MLAs may see pay increases to 9600 a year, with some deemed worth it. A press interview with Hon. Joe Borowski closed with him saying he would do all possible during his short time in office, raising questions if this was double talk or a real premonition.
