Advice compiled by the American Hospital Association offers practical tips for visiting patients. Limit visits to 10 to 20 minutes, limit to two visitors, avoid smoking or sharing items, and stay home if sick to prevent infections.
Hundreds of Cubs and Scouts participate in the fourth Trees for Tomorrow Project to curb soil erosion and aid reforestation. Foresters assign planting sites near Horod and provide government nursery seedlings from Hadashville. Pledges will fund the effort, with payments capped at 100 seedlings per scout.
Clocks across Manitoba will move forward one hour on the night of April 24 to 25 under the Official Time Act. The province adopts uniform daylight saving time from the last Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October, with the change occurring at 2 a.m. moving to 3 a.m. on April 25.

A Manitoba government notice states price increases for liquor take effect May 3 1976. Canadian spirits will rise 30 to 45 cents per 25-ounce bottle and other sizes 12 and 40 ounces. Imported spirits up 40 to 45 cents per 25-ounce bottle. wines and beers also up. Final prices vary with exchange rates freight and supplier costs.
Mr Pearce and Miss Edith Gunson of Rivers visited Ediths father Mr John Gunson Tuesday afternoon. Wayne Knight and family of Winnipeg visited with Mr and Mrs W Knight and family last weekend, also Darrell Knight and family of Brandon. Wanda Sunley from Winnipeg with Robbie McConnell called on Wanda's grandmother Mrs J Sunley last Sunday. Mrs Jean Tweed attended the Ladies Legion convention at Oak Lake on Monday. Mr and Mrs A Curtis of Birtle visited Mrs F Bardwell and Mrs J Sunley Wednesday afternoon.
