Daylight Saving Time Starts in Manitoba this Spring

Clocks across Manitoba will move forward one hour on the night of April 24 to 25 under the Official Time Act. The province adopts uniform daylight saving time from the last Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October, with the change occurring at 2 a.m. moving to 3 a.m. on April 25.

Agriculture Canada will begin 24 hour a day phone in market reports on cattle hogs sheep and lambs starting May along with the Camis project to improve market information for farmers processors wholesalers and retailers. Camis will coordinate data from federal provinces agricultural groups and other sources to reduce duplication and guide policy planning.

Liquor Prices Rise May 3 Under Manitoba Policy

A Manitoba government notice states price increases for liquor take effect May 3 1976. Canadian spirits will rise 30 to 45 cents per 25-ounce bottle and other sizes 12 and 40 ounces. Imported spirits up 40 to 45 cents per 25-ounce bottle. wines and beers also up. Final prices vary with exchange rates freight and supplier costs.
