Minjota W I Meeting Presided At Centre April 9
Mrs C Armitage led the W I at the Community Centre with 15 members and 12 visitors present. The motto He Who Plants a Tree, plants Love was read, and a Roll call noted. The cancer canvass is set for the first week in May and 21 books were donated to the W I library by Mrs W Trout. Two 4 H demonstrations were given Slip ons by Debbie Richardson and Rowan, and Dirty Dishes.

Miniota W I Meet Highlights Community Fund Gain
The Woman's League met in the church parlor with 14 members attending and a donation of a teaspoon. Treasurer reports 757.20 in Community Fund with 80 from a tele phone whist and 38.70 from ice carnival lunches. Mrs Robi Schoch attended the Manitoba Annual Red Cross Meeting in Winnipeg and gave a report on work committee meetings. Mrs Herb Smith's music pupils entertained after the meeting. Lanch was served.

The Miniota Merry Homemakers met in the school auditorium on April 15. Seventeen girls answered roll call. The cabinet sewing machine sale was decided. An achievement event planned for May 11 at the Community Centre with a 2 percent admission. Bake sale April 3 praised. Sharon Leland won a raffled week-end suitcase. Debbie Richardson and Aoie Rowan demonstrated slip on while Kathy Kingdon and Rita Hanlin demonstrated Dirty Dishes. Executive meeting planned to prepare for the achievement. The meeting adjourned.

Isabella U C W Meet Reveals Brazil Study and Plans
A general Isabella U C W meeting at the church on Tuesday April 13 featured an Easter devotional led by the group, reports from the Secretary and Treasurer, and announcement of a Leadership Council to meet in Birtle on April 27. Committees were formed for an April 23 rummage sale. Mrs. Johnnie Finkbeiner led a Brazil study on Brazilian culture while Mrs. George Lawn outlined transportation. A Burlington Ont youth choir record of Brazilian and Trinidad music delighted attendees, followed by a Brazil quiz led by Mrs J E Finkbeiner. The session ended with Mizpah Benediction.
