Hog producers lead Manitoba improvement program results

M Deveson and W J Pollock, hog producers from Hamiota district, top the provincial hog car showcase scores, with 15 producers registered. Mrs Herb Smith and her music pupils attended the W I meeting and staged a recital amid growing talent. Flowers of Hope Campaign for Retarded Children Launched

The Birdtail Branch Retarded Children’s Association announces a nationwide Flowers of Hope fundraising drive. Households receive seed packets and an envelope addressed to Box 400 Shoal Lake to plant seeds and, if possible, include a donation. Posters will spread across towns in April.

Isabella News of the Institute Meeting and Delegates

The Isabella Women's Institute met at the Doran home. Delegates were appointed to the District Convention in McAuley on May 9 and the Provincial Convention in Winnipeg June 35. Members donated for a lavette and Cancer Society funds, with over $60 turned in. A lunch followed.
