Local Holy Trinity W A held a successful Easter bazaar and home cooking sale in the Commercial apartments, yielding about 72 dollars. The event drew community support and highlighted fundraising efforts for church activities.
Jack Coller is now a licensed egg grader at Minio ta creamery after a visit to Wingpeg Len Fisher in Winnipeg. Mr and Mrs Mel McKenzie and family and Miss Gladys McKenzie visited the W J McKenzie home. Ellie Sparks plans to visit Winnipeg this week as guest of the Winnipeg Free Press which is entertaining carrier boys for a day or so to recognize their excellent daily delivery service in all weather.
The Minota school board meeting presided by Dr. Chalmers approved insuring extra liability with Wawanesa Mutual, ordered bus crossings at railways, granted 20 to Northwestern Manitoba Musical Festival, hired Miss LK Lynch as Musical Supervisor at 1200 per year after Easter, adjusted transportation per route including Arrow River Beulah and Miniota, reduced the Special School levy by 1 mill, and set Easter holidays from April 3 to April 14 with a 9 am reopening. The next meeting is in Miniota April 29 at 2 pm.
Cy Mack, a leading Canadian radio figure, serves as narrator and interviewer on the CBC network program Canadian Cavalcade airing Mondays at 7 and 10 p.m. He began his radio career as a singer in 1930 and has remained active in radio roles since.
