Barley King Crowned at Manitoba Winter Fair

Barley King George F.P. Elias, 32, a farmer from Haskell Manitoba, won Canada’s Making Barley King at the Manitoba Winter Fair on April 1. His carload entry that took the National Championship was sold through U.N.N.R.A and left for Albania on February 22. The $25 000 National Barley Contest was sponsored by the Brewing and Malting Industries of Canada.
