Hamiota Ladies Aid Meet Reports Finances and Plans
The Hamiota Hospital District No. 7A Ladies Aid met in the Community Room on Thursday March 23 with 14 districts represented. Mrs Rankin opened with members reciting in hospital prayer. Minutes were read and approved. Treasurer reported receipts 233.10 expenses 160.00 balance 1114.63. Buying convenor noted many kitchen articles needed for the hospital. Social meeting set for May 1 at Shoal Lake in the Buffalo Plains Inn banquet room.

Boys Defeat Old-Timers In Hockey Bout
The 1966 67 season finale saw the 14 and under team defeat the Old Timers 4 to 2 on Saturday March 25 at the rink. Standouts included Larry Gilchrist Chris Webber Lloyd Little and Stu Taylor with only Jack Eastake injured. A moccasin dance led by Jim Carnegie and Virden’s orchestra followed, then lunch served by Community Centre Board members and wives.

Family Night at Community Centre Hosts Whist and Dance
The Family Party at the Community Centre on March 28th featured whist and dancing. Prizes for whist went to Ladies E Wad hadham and E Thompson and to men Dennis Richardson and Wayne Popper. Local individuals and groups supplied music for the dance.
