Mineral Point City Election Sets Light Turnout
A sparsely attended city election in Mineral Point drew 213 votes with only one contest for alderman in the first ward. Results show Weidenfeller 66 and Sims 45 for alderman. Curry 78 for supervisor. Juck 32 and Brown 32 for second ward alderman and supervisor. Blewett 26 and Phillips 25. Frieden 29 and Horn 32. Hawkins 103 and Pitts 9 for justices. Marshall 121 and Scudder 62 for Supreme Court Justice. Shopping and trade were brisk nearby, with Easter demand lifting clothing, millinery, meats, and vegetables. Gundry & Gray Co. adds dry goods, clothing, and shoes.

Death of Dr C D McDonald After Brain Abscess Operation
Dr C D McDonald died at Mendota hospital on March 22 from complications after brain base abscess surgery. His remains were taken to Blanchardville for burial with Rev T E Foss officiating on Tuesday. Once a leading southern Wisconsin physician, his passing ends a notable medical career. Clyde Batchelor now runs the drag and express service with the same telephone number as Robi Parkinson. Allen Spang from the Kennedy mine at Hazel Green visited Easter at home and shows a temporary arm injury from an accident.
