Pioneer carpenter Joseph F Miller dies in Mineral Point
Joseph F Miller, early Mineral Point resident born February 22 1819 in Union County Pennsylvania, died at home Monday morning. He moved to Illinois in 1840 then Mineral Point in 1843, worked as carpenter and in mining, married Mary Ann Harrison November 27 1851. Four of six children survive him, including George L Miller Milwaukee Thomas H Miller Denver Susie E Seaman and Hannah P Miller. He joined the P M church fifteen years ago and remained faithful. Funeral services conducted from the home by Rev J Hardcastle and Rev Geo Moorsfield on April 3.
