Change in Pension Law Movement Affects Civil War Veterans

A national push seeks a law granting all Union veterans who reach 65 a $20 monthly pension. Glenwood School Notes Attendance up on first week

The first week of school shows a rise in enrollment with 445 pupils in grades and 99 in the high school, compared to 441 and 139 last year. Miss Gass continues in charge of Miss Smith's room for two weeks due to the illness of her mother. A new loose leaf register system accompanies pupils on transfers or promotions. Repairs in the Third Ward building are finished and school opened Monday morning.
