A variety of new fall hats arrives at Stillwagon's this week. Numerous social notes follow with visitors from Mason City Des Moines and Nebraska and a crowded slate of local events and gatherings across Glenwood.

Owing to Keg Creek straightening no permanent depot sidewalk along the flat can be built before next year.
The Rebecah lodge in Glenwood held a penny social Monday night to raise about seven dollars for the Odd Fellows orphans home burned recently in Mason City. Chef Jim Ring oversaw a served bill of fare featuring whimsical item names and small prices.
Tabor College marked the start of its fortieth year with exercises in Adams Hall attended by students alumni trustees and friends. Rev J H Wint of the Congregational church of Creston delivered the opening address on Modern Interpretation of Our American Colleges. New professors were introduced and vocal teacher Miss Marie Shana felt impressed with three solos.
