Police enforce old Omaha ordinance against spitting
In compliance with a 1904 city ordinance, Omaha police rounded up 35 offenders in just over three hours for spitting on sidewalks. A Swede detainee complained about being arrested and said he would not like to ride in the patrol wagon, adding a crude remark.
