Loss Promptly Settled in Glenwood Iowa 1908

Letter from M D Liouville Glenwood Iowa dated Oct 31 1908 confirms Farmers Insurance Company Cedar Rapids settled a loss from Oct 14 1808 by fire that destroyed nearly all crop Bay. The claim was adjusted by J H Merritt and A Lambert agent. Liouville praises prompt, full settlement and recommends the insurer and agent.

Mr Hill Describes Trek to Northeast Canada and Wild Bush

In a letter from Bic Quebec Mr Hill recounts a sail across the St Lawrence to meet two French guides and explore a remote hinterland. They travel by boat and cart through rough, uninhabited country chasing stories of pearls, lakes like the Lake of the Big Pike, and sea trout along the river.

Hill Journal Describes Lake of the Big Pike Shelter Site
