Mrs Robert Horton and son Clif ford returned Saturday to Milan Minnesota after visiting F Turner home. Red Oak and Malvern couples visited P F Moon home southwest of Glenwood. Three year old Chester Eugene Hill, son of Sherman Hill, was bitten on Tuesday by his father's mastiff while playing and received facial wounds. The dog is not vicious. doctor treated the wounds and the child is recovering.

Glenwood Junior Class Holds Progressive Dinner Event

The Glenwood High School Junior class and faculty enjoyed a Friday evening progressive dinner starting at Miss Christine Seitz home and ending at Misses May and Nancy Lambs. The event featured old gold and white decor and courses from soup to salad. Reverend Ira D. Stone of Glenwood was invited to the state National Reform Association convention in Des Moines November 13 14, but he has not received word or plans to attend.

Free Sewing Machine Drawing at Swope Store

A Saturday crowd gathered at the Swope furniture store to witness a Free Sewing Machine drawing led by demonstrator G. W. Gilbert. Two ladies acted as judges. Helen Mayberry drew ticket numbers. winner 269 was Sherm Hill, who bought his ticket that morning. About 800 tickets were in the ballot box. The fifth ticket was declared the winner and all participants praised the fairness of the drawing.

Head Carpenter Hart Hanson Injured In Fall At Construction Site

Hart Hanson head carpenter on the Institution building project fell sixteen feet from scaffolding on Friday forenoon. He struck timbering, suffered bruises and a severe shaking but no broken bones. He will take an indefinite vacation and returned home to Omaha on Saturday.
