Roy Landon and family autoed to Omaha Monday. Joy Parker and family were Omaha visitors Saturday. Mrs. L. Johnson went to Sidney to be with her mother. Phil Slaughter and family visited at the Arthur Slaughter home. Mrs. Joseph Miller had her house papered and painted. George Dalstine and Charles Miller visited Walter Crack in Emerson. Cleve Howard and family moved to the Dunagan place to work for Ray McPherson. Oliver and Winifred Lacy of Omaha visited at the Miller home Sunday. Roy London and family were visited by his brother Douglas London and family from Glenwood. Joy Parker and family dined with Mr. and Mrs. Pittman. they attended Mother’s Day services at Hillsdale. Mr. and Mrs. James Sawyers were visited by her parents from Hastings. Mother’s Day observed with a sermon by Rev. Conaway. The church was decorated with Welcome Mother, flags, bunting, house plants and cut flowers. Epworth League anniversary observed in evening.

Glenwood Chautauqua Dates Set for 1917

The Glenwood Chautauqua will run from August 1 through August 6 with regular program events. Junior Work, Boys' Field Work and Child Welfare topics will be included and offered free to attendees.
