Supposed Mad Dog Put Down After Widespread Fear
Roy Turner’s dog was injured when hit by a wagon and later suspected of going mad after biting several dogs. Marshal Dalton ordered the animal killed and sent word to others to shoot on sight. Anthony shot the dog on the first bridge over Keg Creek near the Institution ending its suffering.

Bids from contractors for Glenwood armory construction were opened Monday and all bids were well above the budget. The building committee will revise plans and seek new bids. one bid reached 25 000 dollars. A progressive dinner hosted by Methodist ladies is planned for Thursday evening, May 28, in the church basement.

Womans Club Delegates Attend National Convention in St Louis
The Glenwood Woman's Club president Mrs J L Belatti and delegate Mrs D L Heinsheimer plus Mrs W Hill traveled to St Louis for the national convention. N T Bradway, Tribune editor, visited the Louisiana Purchase Exposition and planned a two week stay. In Malvern J S McLaughlin secured a contract for 40 cement street crossings at 12 to 20 cents per square foot. Dr Cross of Hillsdale died at Council Bluffs hospital aged 60 after 25 years serving as physician for Tilsdale residents. Early bloom reports show fruit trees two weeks late for a decade per J P Jackson of Glenwood.
