The Glenwood community notes the death of three year old Florence Alexander after a two month illness from nervous trouble. Richard Pettinger’s remains from Orange California arrive for a Glenwood funeral. Harriet Mills dies in Kansas City after cancer. she was a pioneer Glenwood schoolteacher aged 68. An infant son of Bert Gully of Malvern dies at two months thirteen days. George Worrester, once a Mills County pioneer from Emerson, dies at his Flastings Nebraska home.
George McKeen died at his home in Silver City on Sunday morning March 17 at age 70 after a six year illness. He was born in Maine and moved with his parents to Illinois at age 1, enlisted in the Union Army in 1861, and spent time in Confederate prison. He married Mary A. Hale of Mahaska County in 1870, lived in Mills County since 1890, and is survived by a widow, a daughter Mae Manter of Fremont Nebraska, and a sister. Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Silver City with Rev. A F B Conrey officiating and ten old soldiers as pallbearers.

A Mills County man lost money on land due to an unknown trep. The ad urges using Mills County Abstract Company abstracts to protect buyers, claiming their Abstract Books are essential for correct abstracts. It urges advertising in the Tribune for wide reach and quick results.

Items include heavy work teams traded for lighter teams, hatching eggs, housework help, nursery stock and seed oats, millinery goods, land for sale, Shorthorn bulls, household goods, seed potatoes, and mares and horses from Davis & Anderson Mercantile Co. Listings reference local phone exchanges and multiple towns in Iowa.
Beginning Monday March 24 a private sale will offer household goods including dressers, chiffonier, beds, sanitary couch, dining room table and chairs, rockers, rugs, side board, kitchen cabinet, three new stoves, base-burner, soft coat, and cook stove from K. U. Allison.
