Mr and Mrs James Sowers and Ruth from west of Henderson visited Saturday for dental work. I FF Dunagan’s condition is not encouraging but he enjoys visits from friends and brothers. Mrs Mary Scott assists. Last Wednesday a house hold goods moving van overturned on the Blue Grass road near Oak Bluffs school, scattering furniture. another truck heading west was present and cause not learned.

Glenwood man accused of cashing bogus check
E. S. Pollard, known in Glenwood for months of soliciting enlargements and insurance work, cashed a small check at Warm ers & Merchants bank via a friend at U. S. A. Cafe. He left on No. 12 Sunday evening without buying a ticket and never returned. Pollard described himself as a "lady killer."

Archibald Death Recalls Glenwood and Council Bluffs Ties
J D Archibald formerly of Glenwood died in Aurora Nebraska at age 70 after a pumping plant accident. He was born October 31 1847 in Crawford County Pennsylvania and lived in Algona Pa before moving to Council Bluffs and Glenwood. Surviving are three sons Wagene Archibald Mrs Ida L Brown and Mrs A R Brenton and an adopted daughter Linnett Vogt with ten grandchildren. Funeral March 12 at 2200 Avenue A Council Bluffs with burial in Glenwood.

W H Mayberry a well known Wall Street resident north of Malvern died at his home Friday morning March 9 aged about 50 years. The passing is mourned by local friends and family in Hastings.

Obituary: Mrs Mary Cox Meeks 40 Dead at Hastings Nebraska
Mary Cox born near Malvern August 5 1870 died March 7 1917 at Hastings Neb aged 40 years 7 months and 2 days. She married John Meeks in 1890 and left a daughter Helen Quimby of Hastings with grandchildren Max and Aliene Quimby. Funeral Friday held at Hastings church with Rev Smith and Rev Gable officiating. Burial in Hastings cemetery. Relatives present included George Dearing and sons Waldo and Stanley.
