Glenwood society notes and local notices hinge on town life

Glenwood and nearby residents figure in a long list of brief items. D L Heinsheimer, Mrs J T Moss, and many others are noted with moves, visits, and social events. A district school event, church activities, and a fire company update appear amid farm moves, marriages, and local commerce.

Revival Services At Glenwood Methodist Church

Large attendance marks the revival at Glenwood Methodist Church led by Dr. R. N. McKaig assisted by his daughter Mrs. Grace Clark. Evening sermons are plain gospel, with a three o'clock daily Bible study in the church basement. McKaig, a former pastor, brings years of experience and Civil War service with Indiana cavalry, having been captured thrice and held in Libby and Andersonville.

Sudden summons ends life of Mrs Mary Harhart

Mrs Mary A Harhart wife of A H Warhart and daughter of A H Burger of Rawles township died Saturday night at 6 10 in her College Springs home after a short illness due to internal hemorrhage A postmortem was held She was born southeast of Glenwood and was over 37 She is survived by husband two children father mother brothers and sisters Funeral services were held in College Springs and Glenwood with burial in Waubonsie cemetery The family gathers sympathy from many friends in their bereavement

Rev L D Brainerd announces Ash Wednesday marks Lent start with Holy Communion at 10 30 a m. and a 4 p m service on Sundays, plus 7 30 p m Lent services daily.
