Sunday Morning Blaze Destroys Hunter Home In Glenwood
A Sunday morning fire near Glenwood destroyed Will Hunter’s home and most furniture after a gas stove explosion. Neighbors James McCormick and A H Burger helped battle flames as smoke prevented full interior access. The insured house and furniture totals were 350 and 300 respectively. The Hunters are staying with Mrs Hunter’s father, Deputy Sheriff Dalton.

Painter Hurt In Saw Incident At Glenwood
JE Van Pelt, renowned Glenwood painter, suffered a severe injury Saturday noon while near a Buch Murphy shop. He touched a moving circular saw with his right hand, resulting in the amputation of the third finger and probable loss of the second and fourth. first finger badly cut. He was treated by Dr Donelan and Dr DeWitt and remains under care with a long healing process expected.
