Deaths of Curtis T Rhode and James Maguire's mother
Curtis T Rhode born October 29 1879 on Rhode farm near Tabor lived in and near Tabor most his life. He joined Church of Christ about 20 years ago and married Jennie Brown in 1901. A Knights of Pythias member, he died May 23 1917 at 37 with a large circle of friends. Funeral at Rhode home with K of P burial service. James Maguire carrier attended his mother Ann Maguire's funeral in Kewanee Illinois on Decoration Day aged 77. she had resided in Kewanee area most of life and was born in New York state. Six children mourn, incl Maguire of Malvern and others in Iowa and California.

Marriage of Ray Howick and Leone Lee in Glenwood
Ray Howick and Leone Lee of Glenwood were married at the M E parsonage on Sunday June 3 at 4 pm by Rev Stevenson. The groom enlisted in the U S army in Omaha and heads to Ft Logan Colo for service as a musician. bride, daughter of Ora and Mrs Lee, serves as head clerk in Jones Plain Price store. Best wishes go with the couple, Mrs Howick staying in Glenwood until permanence. Children’s Day exercises were held at the Christian church in Glenwood Sunday night before a large audience.
