Mrs Mary Whitney Farnham presented a piano recital at the Malvern Baptist church Saturday evening June 1 at 8 p m. Students from Mills County performed in six quartet selections and four duos. Eleven of the thirty five performers were boys, highlighting the event which enhances Farnham’s notable reputation as a piano instructor now residing in Shenandoah.
Record of instruments filed in Mills County Iowa from May 25 to June 1 1918 includes deeds transferring parcels in Emerson town and patent copies from United States to Horace Everett and William Corfield among others. Names include Adam Warner August Sien and Horace Everett with parcel descriptions and sections. (Note: OCR fragments.)
Nebraska newspaper men will assemble in Omaha June 4 33 with guests from Iowa and South Dakota. Rev Titus Lowe of Omaha and Gordon W Wattles state food administrator for Nebraska will deliver addresses. The event promises amusements including a show auto rides and school visit opportunities for attendees.
