Memorial Day in Glenwood Retains Townsfolk

Memorial Day in Glenwood drew the largest crowd yet at the cemetery with a parade and an opera house program. Community members, veterans, and school children joined in the ceremonies as Rev. Goodrich and several speakers addressed the crowd.

French to Europe on third trip with Aberdeen stop

A. D. French left Saturday to visit his son Ray in City for a day before heading to New York. From there he will sail to Aberdeen, Scotland, around June 12. A keen observer, he enjoys these trips and hopes to send occasional notes back.
