Scouts and Giants Battle in Tight Glenwood Game

Monday at Glenwood ball diamond the Boy Scouts faced the Glenwood Giants in a close, chaotic contest. The early innings produced little offense as Plimpton fanned and McClain was put out, Storer reached third and died at home plate before the fourth inning when the Giants unraveled and the Scouts pushed across four runs. The drama continued into the seventh.

Giants Rally For Narrow 9 8 Victory Over Scouts

Errors by Boyer and Davis aided the Giants as misthrown plays led to three runs. McKnight overthrew first, allowing another Giant score while Plimpton dozed briefly on the base. Giants beat the Scouts 9 to 8 with a rematch later a 16 to 7 win for the Giants.
