Infant Reed Veda Lucile Dies At Home Near Tabor

Infant Reed Veda Lucile, only daughter of Mr and Mrs A J Reed, died July 20 at the home north of Tabor from whooping cough. Funeral services were held at the home Friday led by Rev John Clark, with interment in Tabor cemetery. Other notices include local sales and advertisements for a ranch, piano, sewing machine, and rug, plus medical ad for Foley's Honey and Tar and a bid notice for a hot water heating project in Third Ward School.

A July 23 1910 public sale of a car load of horses in Glenwood Iowa is praised. The seller commends auctioneer Captain F P Fowler for delivering 453 dollars more than expected and thanks bank cashier H A French clerk W Rathke and Vanpelt Co ilver for their courteous service. The writer notes they were strangers to the community yet received excellent treatment and careful property handling.

New Two Year Agricultural Course At Iowa State College

Iowa State College at Ames will open a two year agriculture course this September aimed at farm boys without high school training. The program focuses on practical farming, complements existing short courses, and serves many unable to meet regular entrance standards.
