Strahan J Hf Reasoner served as a Malvern caller on Tuesday. CU Vier traveled on business to Malvern Tuesday. Charles Salyers hauls lumber for a new barn. Joseph Sprague left Tuesday for Hot Springs Arkansas for catarrh treatment. Mrs R S Murphy and children visit Sidney this week with her parents Geo and Mrs Crose. Strahan seeks police protection. Sheriff Morgan may appoint a deputy. Owen Humaker from White Cloud bought a horse and buggy from A W Pease, railroad agent.
Licensed to Marry Clerk Gourly yesterday issued a marriage license to Alonza Arnold of Malvern and Miss Huldandberg ah Red Oak. Their ages are given as 24 and 2u, respectively. Fire Sale items and miscellaneous listing follow including nets, cattle for sale, and pasture rental at Cave Bay Kinghaus area with risible garbled place names throughout.
Pacific Junction notes report State Savings Bank of Pacific Junction ready money for farm loans as papers are prepared. Fremont business visits by Supt Moore. Jennie Haynie leaves to visit Sunset and Oak relatives. Mrs Bergsma and daughters relocate to Des Moines. Mrs Allis and Mrs Seeger return from Lincoln visit. Baggageman LO Zornes heads to Fremont for two months. Anderson and Record Co build a 24 by 40 shed for horses and mules, with future improvements. Saturday market drew good attendance as Herman Donner led a threshing crew near Silver City with Ed Meeboer John Moore and Ed Derby assisting. A baby boy was born to Mr and Mrs Pearl Cary northeast of town on Thursday. Authorities plan to move BE K Kemple and spouse to the poor farm for care. Hawkins and Mulholland held a flagship sale with calico at 9 cents per yard in the morning and again in the afternoon, sparking a brisk dress-buying scramble among local women.

West Oak reports Miss Ore Ostrander has returned from Cedar Falls. Mrs John Coil hosts a sister visitor from Glenwood. John Seltz leaves for a week in the West. Mrs Kettle of Omaha, sister of H Hunter, visits. Mrs E J Stranathan, Mrs Almon Brower and Mrs Robert Butcher dined with Mrs George Brower. Henry Husen travels to Omaha for an operation with Mrs Husen. Callers at Shanks home include Mrs Theo Ivory, Mrs W S Lewis of Glenwood and Grandma Record. Lawshe's two boys work with cement walks. Miss Mamie MacFerron and Miss Wilcox attend Northwestern College graduation exercises in Omaha. Bert Wilcox, graduate, is praised. Banister family with mother and Miss Terry visit H Hunter. Rev Carl Hildreth considers moving. opportunities to hear him preach on Sundays.
