Glenwood notes a birth at Mr. and Mrs. Art Evans and numerous visitors from Bartlett Denver Emerson and Red Oak. Local marriages, theater notices, church, charity giving, and shop ads fill the week’s social column with mentions of Fackler paint, Dunn & Dudley sale, and a guest gift to the editor from Mrs Jamison.

Dr J H Bux in charge of hog cholera control in Arkansas releases guidance for farmers. He warns many hog feed additives tested in U S colleges contain little or no medicinal value and include fillers like common salt charcoal peanut hull sand and only small amounts of salts or sulfur. The hospitals and colleges report minimal real benefit from these preparations.

In Mills County District Court during the October term 1920 Ella Hardy sues William Hardy for divorce on desertion grounds. Defendant is warned to appear before noon on the second day of the term starting October 12 1920 at Glenwood to avoid default and a decree by law.
