Saturday night Charles Adkins and Herbert Mills were driving from Malvern when their horse shied. Adkins shattered his right leg between knee and ankle, was taken to Fred Delolt’s home, a Henderson physician reduced the fracture, and Adkins remains in Henderson under careful care with potential amputation risk. He had been working for Lyman Bryant this summer.

Hogs Reach Year High as Prime Hogs Sell At 7.05

Tammany Tiger Train Returns Through Mills County

The Tammany Tiger special train, first to return from the Denver convention, passed Mills County at about noon last Saturday. The ten-car train, mostly Pullman sleepers, carried the famed Tammany club of New York City. Security was tight so the tiger could not hop off or frighten bystanders as it rolled through.
