Glenwood Social Notes Highlight Local Visits

Benton visitor Herbert Luther came to Glenwood on Thursday while CountyTreasurer M D Maxwell and wife spent Friday in the city from Omaha. Silver City residents George Soliday and Ed Derby were in the county seat Saturday. Blair Wrant of Tabor paid Glenwood calls Friday and helped erect old friends. William Lewis, Glenwood pumpings tation man, is critically ill at his home in south Glenwood. Neighborhood picnic invited for Wednesday east of West Oak church. Mrs Zora Moore, visiting Ruth Knight, left for Macedonia. The Williams Jubilee Singers perform at the Res Theater July 6 under Epworth League. Mrs J W Wedmore and children returned from near Sioux City Thursday. Mrs Frank Barmard of Hastings and Miss Emma Zack of Sidney were Glenwood visitors Saturday. Marion Anthony lays foundation for a new home in Vinion subdivision to be occupied by daughter Cartie Wright. W C DeLashmutt and son Ernest visited Nebraska lands near Genoa, returning yesterday. They called at Arthur Anderson’s farm, family away in Colorado for summer. Four sisters and a brother–Mrs dames Howard Mintle, W B Pickens, H Porter, Walter Jordan and Oscar Hiatt–enjoy a visit from sister Mrs Sarah Bailer of Los Angeles, staying a fortnight in Glenwood then Sidney.
